Addiction Support

Addictive behaviours can develop for many reasons—stress, trauma, emotional overwhelm, or simply trying to cope with more than you feel you can carry. Whether the struggle is with alcohol, substances, gambling, food, spending, gaming, or other habits that feel hard to control, you may find yourself feeling ashamed, stuck, or unsure where to turn.

I offer psychological support, not medical or specialized addiction treatment, but a therapeutic space where you can understand what’s driving the behaviour and start building healthier ways to cope.

My focus is on supporting you as a whole person—your story, emotions, and the challenges beneath the behaviour. Together, we explore:

  • What addictive behaviour may be helping you manage or escape
  • The emotions, stressors, or experiences that contribute to the cycle
  • Patterns that feel hard to break
  • How to develop healthier, more sustainable coping strategies
  • Ways to strengthen motivation, resilience, and self-understanding

This approach is non-judgmental, compassionate, and collaborative. It’s about helping you feel more grounded and in control, at a pace that feels right for you.

Our work together may include:

  • Emotional regulation and stress management
  • Understanding triggers and patterns
  • Strength-based and resilience-focused approaches
  • Relapse-awareness and coping strategies
  • Support in setting goals that feel realistic and meaningful to you

If you’re looking for a supportive space to talk openly and begin moving toward healthier coping, I’m here to help.
