About Vivian Steele, M.Sc

Registered Psychologist

Hello!  I am a Registered Psychologist with a well-established reputation for compassionate client care and professional excellence. I am pleased to announce that I am relocating my successful 22-year full-time private practice from St. Albert to Lethbridge, Alberta, where I will continue offering client-centred psychological services.

I hold a B.A. in Psychology and an M.Sc. in Counselling, and I am registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists. Additionally, I have a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Pain Management Rehabilitation Medicine.

In my trauma-informed practice, I employ a multi-dimensional understanding of how trauma can impact mental, emotional, and physical well-being. In helping you learn about your trauma and identify ways to heal, I create a safe, supportive, and respectful therapeutic environment where trust, collaboration, and healing can take place.

Throughout my career, I have maintained a commitment to evidence-based treatment, continually integrating the latest research into my therapeutic approach. I believe in my clients’ many abilities and strengths and I am dedicated to helping you navigate life’s challenges in a non-judgmental and constructive space.

About You

Sometimes, you just need someone to talk to — someone who will listen compassionately and help you find better ways forward. I am a registered psychologist in Lethbridge, Alberta, offering a professional, safe and supportive space where you can begin to make sense of what you’re feeling and start healing at your own pace.

Maybe you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward.

Perhaps worry or stress feels constant, and nothing seems to help for long.

Have you noticed changes in your sleep, appetite, relationships, or energy?

Even with caring friends and family, you might still feel alone in what you’re going through — and that can be really hard.

Reaching out for professional support is a sign of strength and self-care — a meaningful step toward healing and growth. Therapy can help you to cope with, or resolve, trauma symptoms, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, chronic pain, workplace stress, anger, and relationship challenges. It can also engender personal growth, self-awareness, and resilience, even when life is going relatively well, but you want more balance or fulfillment.

Psychotherapy is a collaborative process — a conversation that helps you understand how your experiences have shaped you and how you can move forward in healthier, more balanced ways. Together we will formulate a treatment plan that helps you manage your life situations and puts you on a constructive path of healing.

Our goal together is to help you feel more grounded, empowered, and connected — so you can move toward the life you want with greater calm, confidence, and clarity.

If you’re looking for a registered psychologist in Lethbridge or Southern Alberta, please know that support is available, and positive change is possible. You don’t have to go through this alone.
